Today’s find was a 2005 turbo Scion tC being built by a guy named Dustin, a member of Team No Limit located in
Pennsylvania. When I first saw this car, it reminded me of the first Scion tC I ever saw. When they first came out, a couple years back, my friend Bre has a same purple colored Scion tC. I remember it being the first purple car I even said “Damn!” to, just like I did to this daily driver!
I once heard someone say something like, “The Scion tC is supposed to be as tunable, or more tunable as the
Honda Civic.” I don’t know if that’s true, but I can assure you this car is well on its way to beating most of the daily driven Civics I run into.
Dustin’s turbo Scion tC features some quality parts, worth a couple stacks, which he shows no need to worry about that anyway.
For example, the sexy Injen exhaust, a Spearco
intercooler, AEM intake, and the Motron high flow
630cc injectors all supplement the famous Turbonetics T3/T4 hybrid ball bearing turbo combine to give the car 310 horsepower. This much power in such a small car means business, especially with the reliability and quality of this set up.
Inside the car, there’s some carbon fiber and body color accents, along with the boost gauge and under-dash lighting brighten the entire car. There were
also so very reputable subwoofers, but they were stolen. He says he will come back with something bigger and better!
By taking a glance at it’s exterior features, you can obviously tell the car was made to look sexy. This turbo Scion tC has the “S” type Tein lowering springs
making it sit low enough to where the side skirts would drag. So he skipped the side skirts and still but on the front and back Kaminari bodykit bumpers. It also has some 17″ Motegi rims, which if you’ve looked at my 3rd generation Prelude’s story, you can see I ride them too! Good choice!
It also has a carbon fiber hood, one modification which is
always attracting, especially putting carbon fiber on the purple car!
Like all turbo addicts, Dustin’s 2005 turbo Scion tc is still an ongoing project, as he still want’s to get the top black with a grey pinstripe, but the car is definitely off to an awsome start and we’re glad to see it’s turbo’d.
