Jeff’s 2003 Turbo Jetta Wolfsburg Edition

Jeff's Turbo JettaThe other day, I really wanted to get a clean turbo Jetta on here to start off the Volkswagen section of the site.  I happened to run across Jeff’s 2003 Wolfsburg Edition turbo Jetta.

Jeff’s turbo Jetta isn’t one of those high flashy, big spoiler types of Jettas.  His is more of the clean, big boosting type of turbo Jetta.  He has the GT3071r turbo, with a 3″ ATP manifold & downpipe, an AEM cold air intake, a Tial 38mm wastegate, a Milltek 2.5″ cat-back exhaust, and Siemens Deka 630cc injectors potting together the motors 375 horsepower.

Along with engine performance, he has some suspension upgrades, like the Bilstein PSS coilovers and a Neuspeed 28mm rear sexy!!sway bar.  For wheels, hes got 16×7 BBS RXII’sfor winter, and in summer hes got the 18×8.5 Rial Daytona Race’s custom painted with the BBS gold.

For the exterior mods, he made the car clean with the Borath badgeless grill, Hella smoked tail lights, smoked corner markers, blacked out turn signal indicators, and a Votex front bumper with Hella Micro DE fog lights.  He also added on the Honda S2000 antenna.

For the interior, he did some basic upgrades like the R32 steering wheel, Omori color-matched 52mm electric boost gauge, Audi TT brake, gas, clutch, and dead pedals, a MOMO Race Air leather shift knob, and a Valentine One radar detector so he knows when hes available to actually drive the car.

The car has only some basic stuff done to the interior and the exterior, but what makes this car a turbo addict, is the quality tuning of the engine.  It’s apparent that most of the time and money was put forth into the engine, but its sure worth having a sleeper when you can beat probably all of the other cars on the road!

When Jeff and I were messaging back and forth, he actually explained that he was is a photographer, which would explain all of the intense and awesome pictures.  The reason this even came up was because he read how Karissa, the owner of the 1994 Mazda Rx7 turbo, and saw that she was a photographer, also.  Kind of cool how many photographers are becoming turbo addicts. :)
